Imagine if Harry Potter, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, The Goldfinch, Alice's Adventure's in Wonderland and The Catcher in the Rye had an apathetic, alcoholic, delinquent baby and you've got The Magicians.

Needless to say, i bought the second in the trilogy even before i'd turned the last page.
I think i enjoyed this... but i don't actually know.
Am i missing something?
It rattles me when a book is lauded all over the place and i'm just damn well not feeling it.
My fault?
